University of Washington Educational Outreach

University of Washington (UW) Educational Outreach is the continuing education and professional development division of the University of Washington, the nationally recognized public research institution based in Seattle. In partnership with the UW schools, colleges, and departments, it administers 27 evening master's degrees and more than 120 certificate programs in a wide array of disciplines from Arts and Writing to Business and Biotech. Serving more than 38,000 students with more than 6,000 programs and courses in 2007, UW Educational Outreach is one of the largest and most highly regarded university continuing education units in the U.S.

Each program administered by UW Educational Outreach is developed and taught by UW faculty and community and industry leaders. They are designed and scheduled to meet the needs of working adults, offered primarily in the evenings, on weekends, and online. UW Educational Outreach also provides access to hundreds of UW single courses, conferences, and workshops. Other programs include evening undergraduate degree completion, summer quarter, K-12 programs, English language programs and international outreach, and UW-Community Partnerships.
