Penn State Outreach

Penn State Continuing Education and Professional Education delivers many programs that benefit Pennsylvania’s residents. One of our major missions is to help adults to return to the classroom. Through our network of twenty-four campuses, we design, promote, and coordinate programs that help adult learners reach their degree completion and career-related goals within a supportive environment. We also develop career-focused programming that can be delivered on-site at your business, on our campuses, or at a public facility. Continuing education and professional development activities reach more than 30,000 adult learners annually. Programs for adult learners cover a wide range of fields, including business, education, engineering/technology, health and justice/government. In addition to these programs, our conference division reaches nearly 45,000 people annually through more than 300 programs that showcase the latest academic research. We also serve more than 220,000 youth each year through summer academic and sport camps and other programs at Penn State campuses.
