The New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies (NYU-SCPS), founded in 1934, is
among the most respected institutions of its kind in the United States.
Its curricula reflect the highest standards of the University and draw upon deep connections to the key
industries and creative sectors that drive New York’s place in the world.
Student and faculty communities are supported within eight academic divisions:
- The NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate;
- The Preston Robert Tisch Center for Hospitality, Tourism, and Sports Management;
- Programs in Business (Human Resources, Human Capital, Management and Systems, Finance, Tax, Integrated Marketing, Public Relations and Corporate Communications);
- The George H. Heyman Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising;
- The Center for Global Affairs;
- Media Industry Studies and Design (Center for Advanced Digital Applications, Digital Imaging and Design, Graphic Communications Management and Technology, Center for Publishing; programs in film, digital arts, etc.);
- The Paul McGhee Division (Undergraduates studies for adults); and
- Liberal Studies and Allied Arts (Continuing education offerings in Languages, Writing, Arts Management, Arts Appraisal, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, and ESL).
Through these learning communities, dedicated full-time faculty and expert practitioners teach
approximately 4,500 full- and part-time matriculated students pursuing 14 distinct masters and 26
undergraduate degrees. And for adult learners studying for career advancement or intellectual discovery,
more than 2500 courses, certificate and diploma programs, lecture series, workshops, institutes, and
conferences are offered each year.
